We’re fascinated by the words—but where we meet is in the silence behind them.

suchemeinensinn asked: where do you get your beautiful clothing?

I get most of my clothes from india, either through clothing companies online such as Earthywear and Paragon Pixie, or alt-shop on ebay and fair trade hippie shops that sell thngs from Nepal etc. I find lots of stuff second hand and I have sworn to never buy new clothes, only from ebay, gumtree and second hand/thrift stores :) I read into the Bangladesh disaster in the factory where our cheap clothes are made and it saddened me that we want brand new items or clothing that flows with the changes in fashion trends, when there is plenty of unwanted clothes in charity shops and sites like ebay and freecycle. I wanna get into making my own stuff too, like little pixie skirts and hooping outfits!

98 year old dobri dobrev, a man who lost his hearing in the second world war, walks 10 kilometers from his village in his homemade clothes and leather shoes to the city of sofia, where he spends the day begging for money.

though a well known fixture around several of the city’s chruches, known for his prostrations of thanks to all donors, it was only recently discovered that he has donated every penny he has collected — over 40,000 euros — towards the restoration of decaying bulgarian monasteries and churches and the utility bills of orphanages, living instead off his monthly state pension of 80 euros.

there’s still good in this world
